Guess what RE/MAX Realty Group Did Today?
February 5th, 2008 Categories: Gaithersburg, Real Estate News, Real Estate Tips
About 60 Realtors from RE/MAX Realty Group in Gaithersburg, Maryland boarded the “Beatty Bus” at 7:30am to see Dave Liniger and Margaret Kelly talk about the real estate market and they gave us real tips on how to “Be Great In 2008″. They are both wonderful speakers and their stories were interesting, funny and informative. The day started with coffee and donuts and ended with Lido’s Pizza on the bus. I learned many years ago (from a speaker at a seminar of course!) if you could take one nugget of information away from each presentation you attend it has been a successful seminar for you…here’s one of my nuggets….Dave talked about his 4D theory for time management and having a clean desk. I hope it helps you in your every day life, I think it will definitely help me…Here is Dave Liniger’s 4D Theory pertaining to how every item on a to-do-list should be dealt:
1. Do It
2. Delegate It
3. Delay It
4. Dump It
Call or e-mail us we are excited about working with you to either sell your house in Maryland or find a wonderful new home for you.

Find A Diamond In The Rough And Make Money In Real Estate
February 5th, 2008 Categories: Bethesda, First Time Home Buyers, Foreclosures & Short Sales, Gaithersburg, Germantown, Maryland Home Sellers, North Potomac, Potomac, Real Estate News, Rockville
In my last post I talked about the reasons why this is a great time to buy. Yes it is!…the key to making this market work for you is finding the right property or properties (if you are an investor) to purchase. There are many short sales, foreclosures and REO properties on the market right now. Many of them are vacant and have been sitting for a few months. The best way to figure out what is out there is to work with a Realtor - not just any Realtor though - Find a Realtor that knows the market. Someone that works full time in this business and previews homes and knows what is on the market. A person that you feel confident and comfortable working with. Someone that can really tell you about different neighborhoods in Gaithersburg, Rockville, Germantown or any town in Montgomery County. Ask your Realtor about models, about Home Owner’s Associations, how long the house has been on the market, and the history of the house. They will be happy to help you. They can also help you find a home that may need a little bit of work and with a little bit of sweat equity can appreciate very quickly. I know the market is full of these houses…I saw 5 today. Do you know of any houses that are Diamonds in the Rough if so please feel free to comment…
If you are thinking about buying or selling e-mail us we will be happy to help you find the right property for you or help you sell your home.
